1. How to Write a Cover Letter

A cover letter is your chance to introduce yourself, demonstrate enthusiasm, and explain why you’re a great fit for the job. Keep it to 3–4 short paragraphs.

What to Include

  • Greeting — Address a real person if possible.
  • Introduction — State who you are and the position you’re applying for.
  • Why You’re a Good Fit — Highlight two strengths or relevant experiences.
  • Closing — Thank them and invite follow-up.

2. Resume Tips

A resume should be clear, one page, and focused on your strengths.

Resume Best Practices

  • Use a clean, simple format
  • List experiences from newest to oldest
  • Use action verbs (Assisted, Organized, Led, Designed, Improved)
  • Keep bullet points short and measurable when possible
  • Include skills that match the job posting
  • Check spelling and formatting, and use consistent spacing

3. Interview Tips

Before the Interview

  • Learn about the company (mission, products, values)
  • Prepare 3–4 examples of responsibility, teamwork, or problem-solving
  • Practice common questions: “Tell me about yourself,” “Why do you want to work here?”

During the Interview

  • Arrive 10 minutes early
  • Smile, maintain eye contact, and speak clearly
  • Listen carefully and pause before answering
